Have a read through these 2 links mate.
Is your pump shiny or sort of a matt finish? Although the Chinese seem to be starting to polish the fakes up a bit now too!

Ok well i can now tell you that the pump i purchased was a fake. If the youtube thing is anything to go by.
I installed it and its way 2 loud. sound just like a $15 drill you get from K mart. So i've not touched the car since it's been installed ran it for about 5 minutes and thats where its stayed.

Would like to get a genuine item before i continue.

Prior to installing the pump, i tried the exhaust manifold. Only to find that my Turbo Compressor Outlet pipe would hit on the manifold. So i took that off again along with the turbo.
Hoping i had some what of the correct turbo to install... i was wrong. Turns out i got an evo 8 turbo instead of an evo 3. So there wasn't even a point in trying to install that. Lol.

i'm out of pocket around about a grand. all i can do now is try to recoup some of the money i spent and get the right parts next time. . . thats ebay for you. tell you one thing, sell you another.

If you have the head off - buy a cometic head gasket and ARP studs.

Buy clutz's TDO6 20G

evo3 manifold or gtpumps manifold (gtpumps.com.au)
3"dump pipe
big injectors
may need oil/water lines from gtpumps for clutzs' turbo

fuel pump / reg / injectors / chip / 055 maft

don;t worry about the 1mm oversize valves. I would do the 272 cams - stock are fine.

run 12's

just thought i'd update this...
I bought Clutz's turbo, i have new braided oil and water lines
055 is happening very soon
2 1/2" Intercooler piping with big front mount
2 1/2" Intake

I still need the injectors, FPR and wideband.
Question is, where do i get them from? and what is best to run?
i'm aiming for the 12's but would like better if possible. Tune is what makes or breaks it so i've been told numerous times, but without quality parts its only good for a certain time. So i'm after quality stuff but question is where from... ebay has 2 much crap i can't decipher the good from the bad.

If anyone can help, it'd be great.
Cheers, Mike.

Sounds good but you need a tune, vote 1 for ecmlink V3 lite. get it tuned safely on 18-20psi and you should get into the high 12's.
take you time though and keep the boost down until you at least have a data logger on to watch if the standard ecu or if you running a chip. is knocking.

Once you have ecm link you can watch everything. Plus it maintains all the factory controls for things like cold start and you can change is to, so you wont end up with a pig to drive.

Excellent. Well that answers the electronics question.
Atm i've set the boost to 10 pound.
But being that the tailshaft is out, she's not going very far.

Thanks for all the help, I'll get onto the ECM link and get to having fun.
